According to previously collected data, this is the optimal time to do it, because in two weeks muslims from across the world will celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
This holiday marks the end of the Ramadan. A month-long fasting period, that lasts from dawn till dusk. It is best characterized by prayer, piety, and zakat – or acts of kindness and charity.
The significance of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr
Muslims describe Ramadan as the period when they connect to one another. They try to live as the impoverished, and understand their hard life and suffering. And above all, work on improving their behavior.
Ramadan is also a period of joy, great feasts (Iftar) after the sunset prayers, being with the family, and exchanging gifts for Eid al-Fitr.
The last day of Ramadan – Eid, is celebrated every year in over 150 muslim countries. And a total of 1.8 billion people this year, from all around the world.
And what do all these mean for affiliates and advertisers alike? Great traffic volumes, and a lot of impressions, clicks, but also conversions. Because for this particular holiday, people like to spend.
The same goes for feasts. So, it’s no surprise that Muslims will mostly spend on food, clothing, luxury goods, and travel as well. As this celebration is also marked by a break.

Do’s and Don’ts for Eid Creatives
There are a lot of religious, and socio-political factors to keep in mind when launching a campaign for any country. So of course, when it comes to Eid al-Fitr you must be mindful of each.
Don’ts
But particularly for this holiday, you need to remember that based on the country, region, or area beliefs and traditions will greatly change.
The language or dialect will also change. For the best results, you should really hire a native speaker for each area, to help with your text.
But aside from these differences, there are many other things to be aware of. For instance:
- In India, people from different regions of the country have completely different facial characteristics. They’ll get offended if your ads targeting them portray people from other areas of the country.
- In MENA, it is absolutely prohibited to use images of dogs or alcoholic beverages.
Do’s
But there are also some things that you can do to improve your ads’ creatives.
- Strike a homerun using lavish images, a lot of gold, and give your products a luxurious flair
- You are absolutely free to use handwriting-like fonts, or more special ones – it’s quite a trend, in fact
- Insert plenty of color in your images, and glam
- Use adjectives that add value to the offer (exclusive, luxury, VIP, etc.)
- Discounts and coupons – if available don’t forget to put them in your creatives
