Many brands also increase affiliate commissions during major shopping events, and affiliates who catch these boosts early usually get the biggest advantage.
Another important factor is the cookie period of a specific offer. If the cookie window is seven days, it often makes sense to start scaling traffic at least a week before the sale officially begins. And remember: major shopping events are rarely limited to a single day — in many cases, the promo window lasts several days or even weeks.
